I.T. MANAGER - INFRASTRUCTURE - SEATTLE |
|
| JOB SUMMARY: |
|
Provide technical leadership and day-to-day management of the I.T. support team. Manage infrastructure projects assigned to the I.T. support team. Provide input to the budgeting process, administer and support servers, networks and workstations at the operating system and hardware level. Implement and administer FCH's security program. Troubleshoot, manage, and resolve issues that may disrupt daily FCH business operations. Act as a resource for the I.T. support staff. |

| MAIN DUTIES: |
- Create and manage projects in response to the Company's needs/direction.
- Develop a company wide security awareness program.
- Manage multiple projects with concurrent timelines.
- Provide evaluations for technical personnel.
- Develop and monitor career growth plans for staff personnel.
- Develop and maintain an operational budget for the I.T. support team.
- Manage software licenses and ensure conformance to license requirements.
- Manage Windows & Linux Servers, Remote Access, Email and LAN/WAN operability.
- Develop and oversee Disaster recovery policies/procedures.
- Review, develop and implement policies and procedures to reduce FCH's risk for security attacks.
- Develop and oversee I.T. operational policies.
- Recommend technology standards and upgrade strategies.
- Act as project leader on I.T. support projects.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the systems running on FCH servers.
- Oversee I.T. Help Desk operations and monitor performance metrics.
- Work with I.T. management team to develop strategic and technical plans that support key corporate initiatives and processes.
- Performs other work related duties as assigned.

| REQUIREMENTS: |
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required and minimum 7 years experience with managing I.T. Infrastructure such as networks, servers, databases, desktops, and middleware.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience as a UNIX, Windows or Network Administrator.
- Proven experience in planning, organizing and executing significant infrastructure related projects such as whole systems upgrades, improvements or migrations.
- Ability to manage, organize and direct technical personnel.
- Proven thought leadership with ability to foresee and integrate new technologies with minimal impact to the Company.
- Experience working directly with users and technical personnel.
- Understanding of network protocols TCP/IP and IPX.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in an organized manner and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Self-sufficiency using Windows based applications (e.g. MS Office.)
- CISSP certification is desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of technical platforms and tools.
- ITIL Certification or strong familiarity with service management best practice is desirable.
