JOB SUMMARY:

According to established departmental policy, procedure, and standards be responsible for the pricing of claims received by mail, facsimile and electronic transactions.

MAIN DUTIES:
  • Price claims based upon defined criteria in a timely and accurate manner, according to established benchmarks.
  • Assist both FCHN staff and external clients with questions, problems, and issues relative to pricing functions.
  • Report any network data discrepancies to the department supervisor for potential corrective follow-up action.
  • Maintain established department benchmarks for production and quality of work.
  • Assist the Business Systems Analyst in testing program system fixes and revisions as required.
  • Assist the Business Systems Analyst in testing new fee schedule rates and facility contract rates as required.
  • Direct questions regarding group and payor information to department supervisor for potential corrective follow-up action.
  • Provide support to other Reimbursement Specialists as needed.
  • Adhere to all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years experience in a healthcare claims data entry environment.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, manage, control work flow, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
