First Choice Health partners with the Puget Sound Health Alliance to produce the Community Checkup Report. The Alliance is a regional partnership involving employers, physicians, hospitals, health plans, patients and others working to improve quality and efficiency while reducing the rate of health care cost increases.

What is the Community Checkup Report?

The Community Checkup Report shows how often patients in the Puget Sound area get recommended health care from doctors and hospitals. The Checkup looks at many health care topics, including care for diabetes, depression, heart disease and low back pain.

What can you learn from the report?

Not all health care is the same and our local health care can be better. The Report shows that some patients aren’t getting the basic types of care that doctors, hospitals and others agree they should. For example, about 1 in 5 people with diabetes or heart disease didn’t get their cholesterol checked.

Use the report to talk with your doctor about what you need to be safe and healthy — then do it! Go to the "Resources" page of the site to find more useful tools and ideas.
