Puget Sound Health Alliance

First Choice Health partners with the Puget Sound Health Alliance to produce the Community Checkup Report. The Alliance is a regional partnership involving employers, physicians, hospitals, health plans, patients and others working to improve quality and efficiency while reducing the rate of healthcare cost increases.

What is the Community Checkup Report?

The Community Checkup Report shows how often patients in the Puget Sound area get recommended healthcare from doctors and hospitals. The Checkup looks at many healthcare topics, including care for diabetes, depression, heart disease and low back pain.

What can you learn from the report?

Not all healthcare is the same and our local healthcare can be better. The Report shows that some patients aren’t getting the basic types of care that doctors, hospitals and others agree they should. For example, about 1 in 5 people with diabetes or heart disease didn’t get their cholesterol checked.
