Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring that the Company conducts its activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices that govern the healthcare industry.   The position is specifically responsible for overseeing healthcare compliance and corporate compliance activities.

Main Duties

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.  Manage day-to-day operations of the Program.

  • Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues.

  • Establish and provide direction and management of a compliance reporting process, including Breach Notification.

  • Provide compliance guidance and oversight of the drafting of clients' Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).  

  • Draft internal compliance bulletins and assist other Departments' with external compliance bulletins and notices.

  • Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.

  • Establish and provide direction for the audit activities of the organization, including the following:

    • Annual Statement of Controls (SOC)  Audit;

    • Coordinate the audits of First Choice Health by our clients, including claim, operational, and cybersecurity;

    • Provider oversight to the Quality Assurance Analysts; and

    • Vendor assessments.

  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. 


  • Bachelor's degree in health policy, business, healthcare administration, law or related field preferred.

  • A minimum of seven (7) years experience in leadership in Operations, Compliance, and/or Auditing.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, initiative, self-motivation, practical learning skills, enthusiasm and an ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with various goals and tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written as well as presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and/or sensitive corporate information.

  • Excellent computer skills; solid knowledge of Microsoft Office  & Google products.

  • Some travel is required.
