  1. Sandy Salmon, MSN, RN, IBCLC

    Director of Women's and Infant Services, Overlake Medical Center

    Sandy Salmon is Director of Women's and Infant Services at Overlake Medical Center, Bellevue Washington where she oversees a 77-bed Childbirth Center including Labor & Delivery, Post-partum, level III NICU and outpatient post-partum clinic. Sandy has been an employee with Overlake hospital for the past 18 years, working in a variety of roles including IBCLC, post-partum clinic supervisor/manager, and inpatient Post-partum Nurse Manager prior to assuming her current role. Sandy has led the Childbirth Center Leadership Team in multiple quality initiatives including reducing NTSV rates, implementing Nitrous Oxide during labor, increasing vaginal birth outcomes, decreasing NICU gestational age accepted, increasing exclusive BF rates, while improving patient experience. Overlake with an annual delivery volume of 3600 babies, was recognized in 2021 as High Performing in Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy) by U.S. News & World Report in its list of Best Hospitals for Maternity and Newsweek's Best Maternity Hospital list. Some of Sandy's personal awards include Leader of the Month for Overlake Hospital in 2014 and 2021 and 100 Great Nurses DFW in 2002.


    A registered nurse for thirty-eight years, she has worked in community health and a variety of maternal-child centered roles. Sandy received her Bachelors of Science Degree and in Nursing and her Master's Degree in Nursing Leadership from Western Governors University, and maintains her certification as a lactation consultant. Sandy enjoys spending time with her family, including her new grandson born last year at Overlake, and running.

  1. Danielle Henderson, DO

    Executive Medical Director of Inpatient and Outpatient Women's Services, EvergreenHealth

    Dr. Henderson is the Executive Medical Director of Inpatient and Outpatient Women's Services including Labor and Delivery and serves as the Department Chair of OB/GYN at EvergreenHealth.


    In her role she is responsible for the development and growth of EvergreenHealth's Women's Services. Dr. Henderson holds primary responsibility for clinical leadership with the goal of delivering exceptional clinical and patient-centric care in the Women's Inpatient and Outpatient Services. She partners with the Women's Services Directors to build an integrated culture amongst medical staff and departments to advance quality, safety, patient experience, and staff/provider satisfaction, including the renovation of the Family Maternity Center and Epic Conversion.


    Prior her time at EvergreenHealth, Dr. Henderson practiced as an OB physician since 2011 at MultiCare Health System's Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.


    At Good Samaritan, she held multiple leadership positions, including that of Associate Medical Director Women's Service Line, Interim Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Staff-elect. She is dual board certified and a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOOG) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) as well as an Oral Board Examiner and member of the Written Exam Committee for the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics.


    Dr. Henderson earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. In 2021, she completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Louisiana State University.


    Recognized for her considerable skill and kindness as a practitioner, Dr. Henderson is described by colleagues as a strong role model and a good decision maker; a forward thinker; easy to approach, collaborative and empathetic.
