Credentialing with our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a great way to build your practice and fill gaps in your schedule. The EAP was built with providers in mind; we offer minimal paperwork, quick reimbursement, and a referral service that takes away the burden of finding new clients. Whether it be for in person or telehealth sessions, you'll have the freedom to accept or decline any referral and be reimbursed for one no-show or late cancellation per client.
What is an EAP?
First Choice Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential service provided by companies to their employees and eligible family members. Our EAP program offers assessment and referral, clinical support, and crisis services for critical incidents, along with a wide range of tools and resources. We specialize in high-touch service and innovative techniques to provide comprehensive support to our clients and their organizations, whenever they need us.
Who can apply?
If you are a fully licensed masters or doctoral level behavioral health provider offering telehealth, in-person counseling, or both, we would love the opportunity to work with you.
We work with fully licensed behavioral health providers such as:
- LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)
- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)
- LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
- LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
- LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)

Do you work with Psychiatrists?
FCH EAP is for Assessment and Referral only. We do not work with any providers that can prescribe medication during EAP sessions.
What do I need in order to apply?
Our minimum requirements for providers are to have at least a master's level degree in a counseling related field, be a fully licensed behavioral health professional, and have Malpractice Liability Insurance Coverage with $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 aggregate minimum.
Are referrals for In-Person or Telehealth Sessions?
Both! Our EAP is welcome to providers seeking referrals for in-person and/or telehealth sessions. Our referral team will communicate with you on which type of session the client is looking for, and it is up to you on whether you accept or decline.
Do I have to have a specific platform for telehealth?
No. Providers offering telehealth can choose to provide telephonic or secure video counseling to EAP clients through their own secure, HIPAA-compliant software.

How many referrals can I expect?
Client usage differs from area to area and while we primarily work with employers in the Greater Northwest, we do have many clients throughout the country that request our services. Referrals are primarily matched based on a provider's specialties, insurance panels, and office hours to find the best fit for both the client and the provider's practice. If you haven't received any referrals please contact our team.
Is there a minimum number of clients I need to accept?
There is no minimum number of clients. We are rapidly growing and always looking to add new providers to our network to meet our clients needs. We are happy to work with providers who are only able to take a few clients. We always welcome the opportunity to connect our clients with a quality therapist.
