Credentialing with our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a great way to build your practice and fill gaps in your schedule. Clients call us directly and we match them with a provider who best fits their needs. This process removes the burden from clients and supports our providers with a referral arm for their business.
Our EAP is convenient for providers-we offer minimal paperwork, quick reimbursement, and an EAP team that is easy to work with.
We provide referrals to clients for telehealth and/or in-person sessions-you'll get the freedom to accept or decline any referrals, and reimbursement for one no-show or late cancellation per client.
What is an EAP?
First Choice Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential service provided by companies to their employees and eligible family members. Our EAP program offers assessment and referral, clinical support, and crisis services for critical incidents, along with a wide range of tools and resources. We specialize in high-touch service and innovative techniques to provide comprehensive support to our clients and their organizations, whenever they need us.
Who should apply?
If you are a fully licensed masters or doctoral level behavioral health provider offering telehealth, in-person counseling, or both, we would love the opportunity to work with you.
We work with fully licensed behavioral health providers such as:
- LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
- LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)
- LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
- LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)

Do you work with Psychiatrists?
We only credential with fully licensed Master and Doctoral level behavioral health providers. We do not work with any providers that could prescribe medication during EAP sessions.
What do I need in order to apply?
Our minimum requirements for providers are to have at least a master's level degree in a counseling related field, be a fully licensed behavioral health professional, and have Malpractice Liability Insurance Coverage with $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 aggregate minimum.

How many referrals can I expect?
We strive to match based on insurance for continuing care after EAP sessions, and provider's specialties and availability for both parties. Client usage differs from area to area. EAP providers have the freedom to accept/decline any referrals sent to them. If you haven't received any referrals please contact our team.
Is there a minimum number of clients I need to accept?
There is no minimum number of clients. We are rapidly growing and always looking to add new providers to our network to meet our clients needs. We are happy to work with providers who are only able to take a few clients. We always welcome the opportunity to connect our clients with a quality therapist.
