Welcome MultiCare employees

New Hire Start Guide

Welcome to MultiCare! We are pleased to have you as part of our team.

Overview of Benefits

To learn about benefit options, please review the 2026 Benefits Guide located within the MultiCare Employee Resource Center.

    MultiCare's Medical Plans

MultiCare has partnered with First Choice Health to offer medical plans for our employees and their families. When choosing your medical plan, it is important to understand how we have structured the plans and provider networks. The provider networks are organized in three or four tiers. We encourage our members to seek care within the Tier 1 network of providers, which provides the highest level of coverage and lowest out-of-pocket cost. The higher the tier number, the more expensive services may be.

Before making your elections, we encourage you to explore this site, search for Providers, and compare the plan options.

    Making your Elections

You must visit Workday to enroll in benefits.

    • You are eligible for benefits on the first of the month on or after your hire date, or after becoming benefit eligible due to your employment status change.
    • If you do not act within 30 days of your hire or employment change date, you will be defaulted to waived benefits, meaning no medical, dental, or vision coverage.

If you do not elect benefits during one of these time periods, you will not be able to make elections until the next open enrollment period or if you have a specific life event.

If you need help enrolling in benefits, read the Workday job aids on the Workday Resources SharePoint site.
